A new version of Opera mini has launched, but sadly no news of a version released for Apple’s Iphone.Iphone/Ipod Touch users have been stuck with Safari as the only option for a while now and many can’t wait to try something new… The new features available on Opera’s latest release only make the annoying monopoly on Apple’s platform even more frustrating!
I would have thought Apple were the last guys who wanted to mimic Microsoft!
Some of Opera’s new features include:
- Uploading and downloading files through Opera Mini and saving pages for offline viewing
- Flash videos redirected to Android’s YouTube player
- Double tap now works for zooming in and out
- Inline URL entry instead of using native input
- Password text entry now hides characters
- Problems with exiting application when back button was pressed
- Improved trackball speed
- Internal pages, like the start page, now have font size extra large for easier navigation
